So here's the thing....

I wouldn't be your fellow brand girly if I didn't remind you that the purpose of your brand and website is to express yourself in a way that encourages your clients to choose you over your industry competitors. 

While I am a firm believer in 'design without limits' (in an effort to bring out your truest self), there are certain elements and key components you might be overlooking that are preventing your brand from being the steamroller you envisioned.

Like why you're the obvious choice.

And the difference your service exceeds.

Because you're more than 'skill'

I'm glad I have your attention

Now it's your brand's turn. You see, that's where it can seem challenging and it's where most of us mess up. You don't know where to begin. You can't decide on your logo, let alone an entire color palette AND font combination that speak to your craft.

So you settle for the Canva template, throw some cute colors together, and call it a day - leaving out elements that tell your story or (even worse) adding in elements that strip your professionalism. 

and that's the issue with DIY branding.

It's not intentional, it doesn't enhance your client's experience, and it isn't memorable. It needs to be intentional from start to finish. But it also needs to remain authentic while effectively leaving your audience craving more.
